Yoz readers! Its been a long time since I last blogged in my last entry. During the past 6 weeks or so, I was engaged in my preparation for the SA2. after that, I was involved in the annual Secondary 2 Leadership Camp, in which I was the instructor. For today, my results are released. I have finally defeated a long-time opponent and earned a chance to get back what I have lost in the SA1 back in May. Finally, The Legend Killer stands victorious after nearly a year of downfall. It was a big surprise because I had thought of giving up trying to accomplish my goal. This SA2 turned the tables around and even my results came as a huge surprise for me.

From the 16th to 18th of October, I was at Changi coast adventure campsite. Yep, for some who knew, that was the campsite where my batch went for our Secondary 2 Leadership Training Camp. Last year, I can still remember, my teacher said:" Every 15 minutes or so, you guys are going to experience something called.......the aeroplane!" This year, I get to say the same thing to my group members which I had been assigned to supervise. True, the campsite does hold a lot of memories for me, especially the aeroplanes which zoom past the campsite every 15 minutes or so and interrupts what the camp commandant has to say. here are some extracts from my log book in which I wrote about the events that occurred during the camp.

16th-October-2008 (2330hrs):

First day gone! Today, my group did well in their tasks in building their rafts which can float a couple of metres away from shore in the sea. Joo Jing was the only instructor from my group who followed the Sec 2s in their rafts. After the event, I had a busy time dismantling the ropes and pipes from the rafts my group members built. The day before (15th-October), we learnt from the campsite instuctors how to tie various knots and lashes. Today, these knowledges were put to practice and were of good use. Here are some snapshots taken on that day.

17th-October-2008 (0130hrs):

Today's event was especially fun. Earlier today, I joined my group mates in the dragon boating activity. It was very fun rowing the boat and racing against other groups in their dragon boat. Got sun-burnt during this activity and had beome very tanned. My group came in third during the race, it was really fun and enjoyable for me and my group members. After that activity, my group went through the high rope elements and rock-wall climbing. This time round, i was the belayer. I must be careful because my group members' lives are in myhands. it was a successful one because I managed to know well about what I have learnt about belaying during te recee on the 14tof October.We also had a camp-fire night at around 0730hrs. me and delima were the emcees. It was very frustrating getting interrupted by the aeroplanes zooming above us at a relatively low level. Lights out at 2330 hrs as usual, following that, we instructors got a briefing on the Adventure race at Pulau Ubin which will be held the following day. The briefing lasted until 0010hrs approximately. I hope I am able to absorb what was being said and do things right tommorrow. Here are some snap-shots taken on that day.

18th-october-2008 (1800hrs):

Yeah, today is the final day of the camp. We went to Pulau Ubin for the Adventure race, something like the amazing race. We had a Long March (2hrs continuously) and then we assembled back to the parade square at the island for our out-door cooking. However, the out-door cooking was cancelled due to the rain and we decided to head back to campsite to have lunch. The Long March was my greatest achievement for me and my group members because we broke our record by walking more than 10km in a mere 2 hours. We headed back to school for dismissal at around 1530hrs and reached school at 1405hrs. Nopthing much to write today because there was not much activities for today. Here are some snap-shots taken that day.

good old arsenal, we're proud to say the name;
when we sing the song we'll win the game.
