Day 2: Touched down. The whole day was spent on a tour around the city of Melbourne. I really enjoyed the coach ride around the place but sometimes, it gets too annoying when we have to get down, get up and getting down again and again. There were many places of interests around Melbourne and I learnt that all activities stop at early hours in the evening and you may be interested to know that here are even ERPs along the expressways in Melbourne but, of course, fewer than Singapore. Oh, before I forget, the weather temperature in Melbourne is quite low (about 13 degree Celsius), so it feels as though we are in an air-con room while walking along the streets of the city. Aft a long day of touring around the city, we were taken to the hostel at St. Kilda which would become our place of stay for the next four days. Monday, November 24, 2008
Day 1: Spent a total of 7 hours on board the plane but we were kept entertained by the food and television shows. It was a night flight so most of us did sleep on the plane while some were still wide awake but were drowsy on the next day during our tour around Melbourne. A book to keep me entertained during the flight
Day 3: We made our way to the Hedgend Maze and had a long but fun morning there. The games were interesting especially the maze which my friend would always lead the whole group back to where we started and exclaimed:" Hey! I found the exit!!!!!" We had lunch in a restaurant near-by before making our way to the winery to learn the process of wine-making. after that, we spent about a couple of hours at the strawberry farm plucking strawberries. I had trouble looking for the best strawberries because most of the riped ones have been taken by my friends and teachers. After talking to some of the Australians, my friends and I have finally got their accent! In the evening, after we were taken back to our hostel, we were treated to dinner by our teachers in an Italian restaurant, food was extremely delicious. And finally, we ended our day at the beach by watching the sun-set.
Day 5: We spent most of our day outside Melbourne. First, we made our way to Churchill Island to visit a big garden there with farms and some artifacts on display. There were a lot of flies there but we did had a fun time looking at the animals, enjoying the sceneries and examining artifacts. After that, we were taken to a chocolate factory near-by and the best part is, we get to sample a free chocolate at the entrance. at noon, we left Churchill island for Phillips Island at which we spent the rest of the day there till night. We first went to the Nobbies for our lunch and get a unique experience with the camera controls which enable us to see what the seals are up to at the rocky islands near-by. Next, we went to the Koala Nature Reserve and learnt some interesting facts about Koalas. For example: Koalas are not as friendly as you think, they might attack you if they feel threatened. Now here is the jam-packed bit. During the coach ride after we left the Koala Nature Reserve, the coach we took suffered a leakage and a bit of fire. At first, we heard a fire alarm being triggered and then, smoke started to appear at the back of the coach. We were evacuated quickly, but safely. The coach driver extinguished the fire and I saw, to my horror, the leakage was serious and the engine was completely burned out. As a result, we took a mini coach to our destination where we learnt about the penguin parade and built artificial wooden homes for the penguins. At night, after dinner, we were taken to the beach to watch the penguin parade. We just laughed at the way the penguins march in two straight, neat rows and even saw one penguin gliding on its stomach. They are just simply hilarious. My teaches and I.
Day 6: Whooo hooo! Go home day! Though it was suppose to be the day when we rejoice, most of us could not bear to leave our facilitators and the hostel. We had a lot of fun in Melbourne. We really feel that we should stay longer and see more of the places of interest in Melbourne. Unfortunately, the plane ticket has already been booked, we had no choice. We went to do some last-minute shopping at the air-port before we took a flight back to Singapore. Though we are physically here in Singapore, bu our hearts and souls remain in Melbourne. Melbourne, we will always remember you!

Following that, last weekend, Arsenal went against Manchester United and scored a surprising victory. This is because, even though three of the best players in Arsenal were injured and were medically unfit to play, the team still managed to obtain a score of 2 against 1. As what was said by the manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, The Gunners (Arsenal) has to win this match against Manchester United. Here is a Table, showing the top five football clubs this season.
